About Amcha Ghar

Amcha Ghar provides residence, English Medium education, medical, recreation, self-defense and spiritual facilities in a homely atmosphere to the girls, until they become independent. In other words, we aim to provide an atmosphere that promotes holistic development of orphan and semi-orphan girls in a residential home. The home functions under the Juvenile Justice Act (J J Act). The girls that come to Amcha Ghar are under the sanction order of the Child Welfare Committee (CWC).

Current Status

Currently, we have the strength to accommodate 25 beneficiaries as per the Juvenile Justice Act (J.J. Act). These girls have been receiving English Medium education at the Amcha Ghar School. A lot of sessions, workshops, events, etc., are organized monthly for them to develop a  sense of responsibility and to create awareness about the whereabouts of the world. These girls are also active in extracurricular and recreational activities such as drawing, crafts, dancing, and singing.
